A YOUNG boy has died after being struck by a car in Adelaide’s south, despite desperate attempts to save him.
The two-year-old boy was hit on Branksome Terrace, in suburban Dover Gardens, about 8pm yesterday.
A witness told The Advertiser he saw someone performing CPR on the boy.
Police initially said the boy had suffered life-threatening injuries, but later confirmed he died at the scene.
The car, which allegedly struck the boy, was found parked in a nearby driveway.
Police were seen checking the front of the vehicle before entering the house and taking a man away.
The man has been arrested and will face court later today.
