Updated Tucson spotted in Europe during winter testing.
Hot on the heels of this week’s Santa Fe reveal, spy photos have surfaced of two Hyundai Tucson development mules undergoing cold weather testing in Scandinavia.
The finished product is expected to appear at the Geneva motor show next week, but for now these camouflaged prototypes suggest there’s quite a few tweaks in store.
The disguise appears to hide a similar look to the recent Kona and just-revealed Santa Fe. This means stacked headlights and Hyundai’s “Cascading Grille” up front, while new tail-lights and extra light clusters in the rear bumper are also likely.
UK site AutoExpress reported that a high-performance Tucson N is under development this week, but the small wheels and standard ride height of these mules suggest they are mainstream variants.
When contacted by CarsGuide today Hyundai Australia spokesman, Bill Thomas, was unable to confirm any details regarding the new model.
However, more info is expected from Geneva early next week, with a local arrival likely in the second half of this year.
