BMW’s long-awaited Z4 has broken cover ahead of its offical Pebble Beach unveiling, with a series of leaked images purporting to reveal the finished product hitting the web.
The leaked images reveal a Z4 in M40i trim that doesn’t stray too far from the concept revealed last year, with the same long bonnet and short rear-overhang and with a wheel perched in each corner. The crazy concept wing mirrors appear to have been toned down for the production version, but the swept-back headlights and body-integrated taillights have made the final cut.
The interior photo shows a full-digital driver’s binnacle hidden behind the steering wheel, while the central screen is integrated into a glass-look dash element that the driver’s binnacle to give the impression of an unbroken digital interface.
We will know more when the Z4, which was developed in conjunction with the incoming Toyota Supra, is officially unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance later this month, but we know already that BMW’s roadster is expected to launch wth a choice of four- or six-cylinder engines, with the latter reserved for the M40i and good for around 250kW and 500Nm.
